Dopo la scorpacciata di partite della notte di mercoledì erano in scena solo due gare nel giorno successivo, comunque non prive di attrattiva visto che vedevano impegnate 4 squadre da playoff a Ovest. Ci ha pensato il mai banale Gregg Popovich a togliere un po’ di appeal alla propria gara, escludendo come dichiarato parecchi veterani per semplice “riposo” nel back-to-back (Duncan e Ginobili su tutti), facilitando così la sesta vittoria stagionale dei Rockets su altrettante gare.
